Mistress Desari Enchanted Love Stories

Epilogue

Kristen Anderson’s world had changed dramatically when she was only twelve years old. Her parent’s had divorced. Forcing her to leave her beloved farm. She hated living in Spokane. And her mother had fallen into a deep depression after the divorce. She would fly into rages and beat Kristen. Her siblings were spared during these rages. All of her mother’s anger was directed at her. She had been raised to respect adults. So she was unable to fight back when her mother was beating her. She would beat her with a stick or her fists. It didn’t matter. And her verbal attacks were even harder to bear. Her mother told her over and over that she was stupid and would never amount to anything. She didn’t know why her mother disliked her so much. She suspected it was because she took after her Dad. Or maybe it was do to her close relationship to her Grandma. Her Mom resented her own mother. She did everything she couldn’t to turn her children against their grandmother. But Kristen refused to follow her lead. She loved her Grandma dearly, but sometimes she felt like a pawn in their games. Her mother suffered terrible bouts of depression, and talked about how she wished she was dead. At first these episodes tore Kristen apart. But after a while she learned to protect herself. She built a wall around herself, and tuned her mother out. It was the only way to survive the growing darkness. Her mother refused to get counseling. In her eyes she was the perfect mother. But her fits had a terrible impact on her children. Kristen’s little sister developed emotional problems as a result. Her brother thankfully was too young to understand what was going on. As the years passed The darkness in Kristen had grown. The only peace she found was on the family farm. She longed for love and acceptance. Her Dad was no help, he was a weak man. Her mother was able to walk all over him. It didn’t help that her Dad was still in love with her mother all these years later. Her mother Rebecca had a good life with her Dad. But she hadn’t liked the isolation of farm living. So she had left her husband. Only too find out how difficult it was being a single Mom. She was filled with hate. Kristen didn’t know how much longer she would be able to take living with her Mom.

Standing inside the crowed airport, waiting to board the plane that would take her and her Grandmother to California to see her cousin Jamie, Kristen could hardly stand still she was so excited. Not only was she excited to be going to California with her Grandmother but she was also relieved because it would be taking her away from her mother for couple of weeks. Over the last few weeks Kristen had been falling deeper and deeper into depression, suicide had become the only answer too her many problems. And than out of the blue, her Grandmother had asked her to accompany her on her trip to California. Kristen could hardly believe her luck, her Grandmother had even convinced her mother to let her go which had been no small task. Since Rebecca was dead set against Kristen going at first, but Bernice (Kristen's Grandmother) had insisted that Kristen go along saying she didn't like traveling alone. And so Rebecca had ever so reluctantly decided to let a much relieved and excited Kristen go. As she watched Kristen and her mother disappear down the hallway to board the plane, she began to have second thoughts, but it was to late they had already disappeared from sight. She and her other two children watched as the plane took off, she had the distinct feeling that something awful was going to happen on the trip her daughter was taking. She watched until the plane was out of sight and than turned and walked through the Airport with her two children. Still feeling uneasy but not sure why after all what could possibly happen. Once out side the Airport Rebecca heads for the parking lot and her car.
On the airplane Kristen gave a relieved sigh as the plane took off. She had long blonde hair that fell in waves to her waist. Her eyes were a deep blue. Her mouth full, her skin flawless. She had full breasts and a tiny waist. She was only 5”2. She turned heads wherever she went. But she didn’t notice the looks she got. Thanks to her mother she saw herself as unattractive. She had never had a boyfriend, never been kissed. She wanted a boyfriend badly. But most of all she wished she wouldn’t have to return to her mother.)
